We embark on a new chapter with gratitude as we announce the opening of our second Raylite outlet at Taste Orchard (former OG Orchard Point). Your unwavering support has been the driving force behind this expansion, and we can't wait to share this journey with you.

To better serve our customers who are not staying in the East, we are excited to open a new outlet in a central location to serve you better! 

A Feast for the Eyes

One of the highlights of our grand opening was the introduction of our latest eyewear collections. From timeless classics to avant-garde designs, drop by to find your perfect pair of eyewear! 

We are also excited to introduce new brands additions at our new store, including MYKITA, Oliver Peoples, Versace, Minamoto & more, adding an extra layer of excitement for our fashion-savvy customers.

But the excitement didn't stop there. Our grand opening event was not just about showcasing stylish eyewear; it was also an opportunity to highlight the innovative technology that sets Raylite apart in the world of eye care. Our guests also had the chance to experience first-hand our cutting-edge optometric equipment, from advanced facial capture technology to digital fundus cameras.

One of the highlights is the ZEISS iProfiler Plus (pictured above), which we use at both our Orchard and Tampines outlets. It is a compact 4-in-1 system and fully automated device. Beyond standard prescription measurements, it assesses night vision and power distribution across the entire pupil aperture for comprehensive insights into your vision. 

Meanwhile, the ZEISS VISUFIT 1000 (pictured above) sets a new standard in personalized eyewear fitting. With nine calibrated cameras capturing a 180° view, it provides precise data for custom lenses, ensuring a perfect fit tailored to individual facial features.

Thanks to the Visufit 1000's meticulous data, including back vertex distance, pupillary distance, and pantoscopic tilt, customized lenses are crafted to perfection. Recognizing that each individual's facial features vary significantly, from the eyes to the nose and ears, this advanced system ensures that every pair of spectacles fits flawlessly.

Additionally, its 3D avatar feature allows customers to explore various sunglass lens colors, streamlining the selection process. More exciting updates will also be introduced to the VISUFIT 1000 technology soon - so stay tuned!

As guests mingled and explored, they were treated to insightful conversations with our team, who shared valuable eye care tips and recommendations. 

Whether it was discussing the importance of regular eye exams or the benefits of specialized lenses like Ortho-K, our goal was to empower our guests to make informed decisions about their eye health.

And let's not forget the delightful lion dance performance, the ribbon-cutting ceremony, and the mouthwatering spread of food that added to the festive atmosphere of the day. It was truly a celebration of style, innovation, and community spirit.

About Taste Orchard Shopping Mall

Taste Orchard is a newly revamped mall at 160 Orchard Road, in the same building where OG Orchard department used to be at! It is one of the 'OG' shopping malls in Singapore and sparks nostalgia amongst many who had fond memories here. Right now, the mall has turned into a multi-level supermarket and lifestyle destination, with lots of exciting F&B & retail concepts coming in!

Currently, stores such as popular BHC Chicken from Korea, Killiney Kopitiam, Yole and Wine Mansion have opened its doors here. Sushiro, the popular conveyor sushi restaurant from Japan, will also be opening by Q2 2024. Stay tuned for more!

Directions to Taste Orchard

To access Taste Orchard shopping mall, the nearest MRT is Somerset MRT. You can come up to the street level and walk towards the direction of Emerald Hill, Centrepoint and the Singapore Visitor Centre. Alternatively, you can also take the underground connector from Somerset MRT towards Orchard Gateway and take the underground link to Centrepoint.

Our building's right next to Centrepoint and there's a link bridge connecting both malls on level 2. The link bridge is located inside of Molecule furniture store at Centrepoint.
