We are thrilled to share that our team at Raylite Optical was invited to the official launch of the Acuvue Oasys Max 1-Day contact lenses! This innovative product brings new technologies that enhance visual clarity and comfort.

Introducing TearStable Technology and OptiBlue Light Filter

The Acuvue Oasys Max 1-Day lenses feature TearStable technology, Johnson & Johnson Vision's latest tear-infused design. This revolutionary technology optimizes the distribution of the wetting agent throughout the lens and on its surface, reducing evaporation and prolonging tear film stability. As Dr. John R. Buch, senior principal research optometrist behind the new lens technology, highlighted, tear film stability diminishes as we age, leading to increased blink rates by up to 20-fold. TearStable technology addresses this by ensuring lasting tear film stability and reduced evaporation.

Additionally, the lenses incorporate the OptiBlue light filter, which significantly enhances visual clarity by reducing light scattering by 20%, based on Johnson & Johnson Vision's research studies. This is particularly beneficial as light scattering doubles by age 60 and triples by age 70 due to changes in the crystalline lens.

Pupil Optimised Design for Multifocal Range

For those over 40 facing presbyopia (or “Lao Hua”), the Pupil Optimised Design in the multifocal range offers crisp, clear vision at all distances and in all lighting conditions*. This design, combined with TearStable technology and the OptiBlue light filter, forms the "MAX Multifocal Difference," meeting the diverse needs of presbyopic individuals and ensuring all-day comfort.

The launch event was graced by insightful sharing sessions from experts like Dr. John R. Buch, who delved into the science & technology behind the innovative new lenses. Meanwhile, Dr. Annabelle Chow, a psychologist also shared and emphasised the importance of optimal vision in achieving high performance and max living.

Mediacorp Artiste, Elvin Ng, also shared his positive experience with the Acuvue Oasys Max multifocal lenses, attesting to their comfort and clarity. This is especially important for his hectic, on-the-move lifestyle as an actor. 

The launch event ended off with a panel discussion involving eye care experts, psychologist Dr Chow, as well as Elvin Ng with his perspective as presbyopic consumer and contact lens wearer.
