Here are some ways you can use your credits:

1. Prescription Glasses for Kids

Children can go through frequent changes in prescription, so having a comfortable and well-fitted pair of glasses is important.

We offer a wide range of kids’ eyewear and lens options, from everyday prescription glasses to lenses designed specifically for children.

Whether your child is getting their first pair of glasses or needs a replacement pair, you can use your LifeSG Credits towards their eyewear at our store.

2. Myopia Control Lenses

If your child has myopia, choosing the right lenses can be about more than simply correcting their vision.

We carry a range of myopia management lens options, including:

• Essilor Stellest 1.0 & 2.0
• ZEISS MyoCare
• HOYA MiYOSMART
• And other myopia management solutions

These specialised lenses are designed to correct myopia while helping to slow myopia progression in children.

3. Kids’ Sunglasses

Children spend plenty of time outdoors, and a good pair of sunglasses can make outdoor activities more comfortable.

Sunglasses can help reduce glare and provide UV protection when your child is outdoors in the sun.

We offer kids’ sunglasses with or without prescription lenses, so you can choose an option that suits your child’s needs.

4. Children’s Eye Exams

Regular eye checks can help identify changes in your child’s vision and detect common issues such as myopia and astigmatism.

Our children's eye examination services include:

• Objective refraction
• Subjective refraction
• Colour vision test
• Stereopsis test
• Axial length measurement using a biometer

Eye examinations are by appointment only.

For children who are already myopic, axial length measurement can also provide an additional measurement to monitor alongside changes in their prescription.

5. Ortho-K Lenses

Orthokeratology (Ortho-K) uses specially designed contact lenses worn overnight to temporarily reshape the cornea, allowing suitable wearers to achieve clearer vision during the day without wearing glasses.

Ortho-K is also a popular myopia management option for children.

Can I Use LifeSG Credits at an Optical Shop in 2026?

Yes. Child LifeSG Credits and Large Family LifeSG Credits can be used at physical and online merchants that accept PayNow UEN QR or NETS QR.

At Raylite Optical, LifeSG Credits can be used storewide via NETS QR payment.

However, there is an important distinction between LifeSG Credits and Baby Bonus/CDA funds.

From 1 January 2026, Child Development Account (CDA) funds can no longer be used at optical shops, as optical shops are no longer Baby Bonus Approved Institutions. This includes purchases such as children's prescription glasses.

Parents can still use other government support, including Child or Large Family LifeSG Credits, for children's eyewear and other purchases at optical shops.

What Are Child LifeSG Credits?

Child LifeSG Credits are a one-off $500 benefit for eligible families with Singapore Citizen children.

For 2026, the disbursement schedule is:

• Children born in 2014–2025: July 2026
• Children born in 2026: April 2027

The credits are accessible through the LifeSG mobile app.

So if you have already received your child's 2026 Child LifeSG Credits, they can be used towards practical family expenses - including eligible purchases at merchants accepting PayNow UEN QR or NETS QR.

What Are Large Family LifeSG Credits?

For eligible large families, Large Family LifeSG Credits (LFLC) provide $1,000 annually for each third or subsequent Singapore Citizen child, from the year the child turns 1 through the year they turn 6.

The credits are deposited into the eligible child's CDA trustee's LifeSG app digital wallet and can be used through PayNow UEN QR or NETS QR at participating merchants. For further details, please check on the official LifeSG website. 

How Do I Use My LifeSG Credits In-Store?

Simply open your LifeSG app and make payment using the available LifeSG Credits payment function.

At our store, payment can be made via NETS QR.

If you are unsure how to use your LifeSG Credits, you can also seek assistance through the relevant government services or community support channels.

Can I Combine Different Government Vouchers?

Yes, where applicable.

You may combine different valid payment benefits or vouchers in the same transaction, subject to the individual terms and conditions of each scheme and payment method.

For example, if you have CDC Vouchers, SG60 vouchers and LifeSG Credits, you may be able to use them towards the same purchase where applicable.

For the latest eligibility and payment rules, always check the relevant government scheme before making payment.
